Annual Picnic and Election of Officers

Join us for a fun day in the park!

Our annual potluck picnic and election of officers will be held on June 24, 2017 at Ponderosa Park, Area 2, in Sunnyvale, at 11:00 AM.

Last year we had 19 candidates, elected officials, or their representatives speak. It’s always a fun and

informative event.

Election of officers will occur at 12:15 PM, and our honored guests will be invited to speak beginning at 12:30 PM.

DFA Link meeting – Susan Ellenberg on Civics Education

This month’s featured speaker is Susan Ellenberg, member of the San Jose Unified School District Board, and Candidate for County Supervisor.  She will speak on the topic of Civics Education in our schools.

Members and guests gather for potluck at 6:30 PM, and the program begins at 7:00 PM.

Wildflower Walk! Saturday April 8

Delight in and learn a bit about our beautiful native spring wildflowers (and more!)
at a local wildflower preserve on a walk led by experienced docents

Meet 10:30am sharp  to carpool from a Palo Alto location, sent when you RSVP

April 24, 2017 Endorsement Meeting

EveryVoteCountsThe April 24, 2017 Dean Club working meeting will be an endorsement meeting. The Endorsement Committee will make recommendations regarding 2018 US Congressional races in California and Chair of the California Democratic Party.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Members in good standing for not less than three months are eligible to vote.  A two thirds majority of members present and voting is required for endorsement.

Any candidate for these offices, or their representative, who attends will be given an opportunity to address the membership.  Other offices will be considered at subsequent meetings.

The meeting is at Marie Callender’s, 751 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087.  Arrive at 6:30 PM to place your dinner order and be ready for the meeting at 7:00 PM.

2016 Accomplishments

 

The Dean Democratic Club of Silicon Valley did it again.  We are so proud of our 2016 accomplishments!  We are proud of all we’ve done and continue to do. The Dean Democratic Club continues to be one of the most active, involved Democratic clubs in Santa Clara County.
